History
In 2007, OPAIN S.A. (OPAIN) was granted the management and operations of Bogotá El Dorado International Airport (BOG) from Auronáutica Civil de Colombia (Aerocivil) under a 20-year concession agreement. In early 2010, following a carefully conducted competitive process, OPAIN awarded the long-term lease and operating rights of the air cargo infrastructure – Cargo City Bogotá – to OTCA S.A.S. (OTCA), a company with Tribeca Asset Management as lead investor representing two of Colombia’s largest institutional investors. Following several years of development, today Cargo City Bogotá is the largest privately owned and managed air cargo project in Latin America with over 76,000m2 of warehouse and office space on a c. 18 hectarea site with in excess of 1 kilometer of linear airside adjacency.
